Can Tho!!!!

When I was seven years old, my family was difficult, so my grandmother took me to the Can Tho in which she is living so that my mother and father had more time to earn money.

At that time, I was seven years old. In my seven-year-old mind, Can Tho was very old and quiet. Everything in it was very boorish. Everybody in Can Tho wasn’t quite polite. They talked together rudely. Can Tho is a city, and it has many rivers. For me who was seven years old, it was very dirty and polluted. Rivers in Can Tho were too dirty because inhabitation always threw away much garbage in the rivers. Those are my comments in the past. Although I haven’t been to Can Tho in a long time, nowadays Can Tho changes. I read news about it in the internet or newspapers. They demonstrate Can Tho which is very clean, neat, polite, and fresh. Nowadays Can Tho isn’t as same as past Can Tho any more. Now, it is built very larger and more beautiful. There are many green trees and unpolluted rivers. Nowadays inhabitations are conscious of environmental protection. They don’t still throw away litter. Everybody in nowadays Can Tho talk together politely and elegantly. At the time when I was seven, Can Tho was a small city. It didn’t almost produce anything, yet nowadays Can Tho becomes an agricultural area. It product many raw produces which are farm products, sea products, and goods in my country.

Do you see difference between Can Tho in a long time and nowadays Can Tho? Are they so diffrerent? I was surprised about it when I saw it at first time.
I love Can Tho because it is my grandmother's hometown. I'm sure I am going to visit Can Tho when I go back Vietnam in June this year. I'm interested about visiting Can Tho and visiting my family, my friends, and especially my grandmother. (*-*)

Saturday, May 27

Yesterday, I went to Space Needle with my friend who is also in my host family.
We got there at 2pm by bus. I was surprised about it because it had a lot of people. At first time, I went to the festival in the US. I was suddenly about crowding in it. There were many souvenir shop, food shop, and drink shop. Especially, there was Vietnamese food , too. We ate many food which we like although it isn’t cheap. They celebrated some philanthropic activities and another interesting activities.
There were many groups. They danced hip-hop, played music, etc… I was attracted by hip-hop groups because they danced professionally. Have you ever heard “elephant ear” cake? Yesterday I heard it the first time. Curiously, I wanted to try to eat it. Luckily, it is good although it is so sweet, but it is strange for my friend and me. In Vietnam, we don’t have “elephant ear” cake; on the contrary, we have “ pig ear” cake. ( It is funny. Right???) They are the same. They are fried with oil, but there is a difference. “ Pig ear” cake in Vietnam isn’t as big and sweet as “elephant ear” cake in the US.
I had a great yesterday with exciting and new things for me.

This weekend!!!!

Shrek3 is very funny and interested not only me but also everybody. ( It is true. I am not kidding.)

Its content talks about Shrek’s family after marriage. Shrek begins to become bread-winner in his family after his father-law’s death. He must prepare everything to get a good king of country, and Fiona does everything like Shrek to become queen of country instead of her mother. Everything is very strange for Shrek and Fiona. They have mistakes while they are people who are at the head of a country. They feel uncomfortable, so Shrek decides to go another place to look for another king who is more suitable than him. Actually, he saw a man who has good everything from quality to character, so Shrek decides to choose that man, and Shrek coaxes that good man to become king instead of him, but there is a bad thing that happened to Fiona and his country when he left. There is a bad authority power to go his country to destroy it. What a luck!!! Shrek returns on time and stops destroying of bad authority power. After that kind man who Shrek found become king. Shrek and Fiona come back a place where Shrek was born, and that place is also place where his children were born. Finally, Shrek and Fiona have three children who are cute and naughty, and their family live happy forever.
This is cartoon for children, but I also like it. Besides its excited content, there is funny, too. It will make us decrease stress and feel more comfortable. If you don’t believe me, you can watch it, so you will acknowledge my idea.

Sunday, May 20

Last Friday, I went to the movie theater to watch Shrek3 which is cartoon I like. That day was fun day for me. After school, I went to my friend’s house. Because my house is so far movie theater, and on the other hand, I were lazy, I went to their house. My friend’s house is very near the movie theater. We cooked dinner together. We cooked a lot of food which we like. They are certainly Vietnamese food. (hihihihi……..)
After cooking dinner, we sat and ate together merrily. One of us, there is a person who always makes many funny things to make us feel merry whenever. Until 5:45 pm we finished dinner include in cooking, eating, and washing it. Then, all of us felt sleepy, and my funny friend spoke a sentence which made us laugh maximum. He said let’s go to our house and do special things which are sleeping and dreaming about Shrek3 without going to the movie theater to watch it. ( He is crazy!!!)
At 6h, we began to take bus to go downtown. We watched it at 7:30. After watching cartoon at 9:30, I thought I should go home, but my friends advised me not to go home at that time because it is too late, and my house is so far from here. Finally, I decided to go my friend’s house to sleep. We talked together until morning without feeling sleepy.
I felt merry when I have good friends in the US.

Do you know what "mother" means???

"M-illion" It means: The mothers give their children million everything.
"O-ld" It means: Because of children, the mother is more and more older.
"T-ears" It means: Those are tears which the mother cries because of children.
"H-eart" It means: That is mother's gold heart.
"E-yes" It means: The mother's eyes always follows children closely.
"R-ight" It means: Advices that the mother taught children are really right.

Saturday, May 12

Yesterday my friend and I was invited to go to the church to listen to music by our host mother. When we heard about going to the music show in the church, we thought that it was not good and boring, but we decided to go there because of our curiousness. We had many questions about it. For example, How is music program in the US? Are American singers as friendly as Vietnamese singers? How do they look like?, etc…. We wanted to have answers. That’s why we decided to go to the church to listen to music. Actually, what we decided it is true. That music show is so fantastic because everybody wore so strange.

We saw one person who is gay. He is very tall, strong, and friendly. Another person is woman who has blue hair, and there are strange others. Look uproarious! We had a great night with many American good songs that I hadn’t heard before. Before I had seldom listened to American songs, but now I have begun to hear them regularly everyday. In fact, American songs helped me a lot so that I can improve my listening skill. At the first time, I listen to a song. I don’t understand anything in that song although it is very easy, but when I listen to it at the second time I understand it a little bit. Until now I understand that whole song, and I really love that song. Yesterday was so wonderful for me about everything. I had all of the answers which I needed. How about you? My parent. (*-*)

I grew up with my parent’s love. They give me everything which they have so that I have a full and happy life. When I was young, I was a naughty child. I didn’t usually obey my parent. With a naughty daughter, they had to be angry and to be disappointed about me, but they weren’t angry with me. They took care of me carefully and coddled me a lot. However, they was sometimes strict, and they always taught me how to become a good person. I am fortunate when I have my parent. If I wasn’t taught by my parent’s advice, I would become a bad person, so I am thankful for my parent. My parent are living in Vietnam. Mother’s Day holiday in Vietnam isn’t as much popular as Mother’s Day holiday in Seattle, so I didn’t have a lot of chance to offer my parent many gifs to be grateful. Normally, I usually give gift to my parent in their birthdays. Only that day! Now, I really miss my parent. When I left my parent to study abroad four months ago, I cried a lot. I was a child, wasn’t I? (hehe…) Actually, my parent also cried a lot. They really love me, and they are always worried about me because I left them at first time. On the occasion of Mother’s Day, I want to offer them meaningful presents. They don’t usually remind gifts from me, and they only want I must become a successful person in the future to take care of my younger brother, and they don’t scare if I would take care of them. In fact, I must do that because this is my duty. Actually, if I want they please about me, I will try hard to become a person as they expect. Although my parent live in Vietnam, I will send them many flowers to offer them on the Mother’s Day. Although that is Mother’s Day, I also want to give my father because he is a good one for me, and my mother is either.

My favorite movie!!!

At thi first time, I talked to you about my favorite movie already. My favorite movie is Korean movies, and especially I really like a Korean one that is "The bright love". I had seen it four times in Vietnam before I came here. It talks about two women's existences. One woman who is Sun Mi is kind, beautiful, smart, and honest. She has a full life and has a good father. Her father always takes care of her thoughtful. Although her mother died when she was very young, she still feels happy and warm because she has a thoughtful father. On the contrary, the other woman who is Young Mi is different. She grew up with beating of her father. Everyday he is always drunk. For her, her life is torture. She thinks the reason that brought her terrible life is poverty. That's why, she must become a ambitious woman. She wants to have a lot of money and want to become a rich person with anyway, and she hates Sun Mi. She thinks why Sun Mi has a life which she wants, why Sun Mi has a kind father which she hopes, why Sun Mi has a kind and rich boyfriend which she likes, and why Sun Mi also has a good job which she dreams, so that ambitious woman uses every method to scramble for Sun Mi's life, family, boyfriend, and even job. With anyway, Young Mi argues everything from Sun Mi's hands, but finally right cause always wins. Honesty of Sun Mi is always won.

At the end of movie, Young Mi from ambitious becomes a kind person. She doesn't remember anything except her memory when she was born until she was seven because at this time, she had a good father. He really loved her, and he took care of her thoughtfully like Sun Mi's father. This was a nice time in her life, so she begins a new life with merriness and happiness.

What a pity for Young Mi!!! If she didn't have a bad father, she wouldn't become an ambitious woman. This is a good and meaningful movie. That's why I love it.

Yesterday was busy!!!!

I got up too late at 11am. (*-*) If my friend didn’t wake me up, maybe I would get up at 12pm. I live at host family. Every week, a person of us cleans up bathroom, and this week, I have to clean it up, but I forgot. When I got up, I took a bath until 12pm, and then I ate lunch. After that, my friend and I went to Northgate mall to go shopping. For a long time, we didn’t go there, so we were excited about it. First, we went to Marcy’s to buy something for ourselves. We chose one by one cloths from T-shirt to jean. It was funny! (hehehe). I remember we went to fitting room in Marcy’s more than seven times. (^^)
After our content, my friend moved men’s cloth to buy something for her younger brother because he prepares to go to the US to study abroad. At the beginning time, she only chose two or three cloths for him, but she saw a lot of beautiful cloths, so she chose them a lot to such a degree that she didn’t have enough money, so she borrowed my money to pay them. Turn me, I went to the toy store to buy toys for my younger brother because he is nine years old, and he really likes them especially he likes toys which are superman, batman, spider man, Tortoise Ninja, etc… My friend were forced to go there because she didn’t buy toys, and she wanted to go to the perfume store, but she coddled my idea. After toy store, we went to go to perfume store until 4:45pm, and then we ate a little food at Northgate mall. Yesterday’ weather was nice, so a lot of people went shopping. We were in line during 30 minutes to buy some food. (so tired) After being full, we continued to go shopping until 7:30pm. (smile) Because we were so tired and brought a lot of things that are so heavy, we came home by bus. When we came home at 8:30pm, at this time I remembered I had to clean up bathroom. Oh my god!!!! I changed my cloths quickly, and then certainly I had to clean it up. Terrible, I did it until 9:30pm. Thanks god, I completed it, and then I ate dinner too late. Certainly then, I went to bed because of fatigue. (breathing). A day went by with fatigue and merriness. Have fun!!!

Weekend is a relaxing day!!!

In the morning, I got up at 11am ( it is too late), and then I prepared brunch with my friend. A brunch is very abundant with many food such as noodle, vegetable, beef, shrimp, and bread. We cooked them until 12:30pm, and after that actually, we ate them deliciously because we were too hungry (hehe…) After brunch, we cleaned them up. When I finished my duty, I went up stair and came in my bedroom to continue chatting with my friends. While I was chatting, my friend was listening to Vietnamese music which is very good. I love it. For a long time, I didn’t listen to Vietnamese songs. I chatted with my friends until about 3pm, and then I felt sleepy, and I slept until 4pm (I’m not sure). At 5pm, my friend and I went out to go downtown, Chinatown, and Northgate mall to go shopping and to buy some food. In downtown Seattle, we went to Old Navy and Gap, and then we came home at 7:30pm. After that, my host mother picked me up to go to South Center Mall to eat ice-cream ( I love it!!!), and we came home at 9:30pm. Oh!!! I was very tired and felt sleepy. Although I was tired, I still watched film because it was so interesting.
In fact, I want all day which is like today because I felt relaxed and comfortable. I had a relaxing day because I have done my homework before Saturday. If I had done my homework before Saturday, I would have had a busy weekend with many homework.
In brief, today was very busy for me, but it was very exciting and had fun. I am fortunate when I had a relaxing and cheerful weekend.

Zoo is a good place! (^-^)

Today, I went to the zoo. I had gone to the zoo before I came here. Zoo in Seattle is very different because everything is very nature. It makes all animal have natural feeling. That is a big difference between zoo in Seattle and zoo in Vietnam. I really look at animal whenever they are eating, drinking, sleeping, taking their children, or fighting together. They are so cute, but I don’t like to take care of them because I’m scared them. I like to look at them, but I don’t want they touch my body. Today, I saw penguins, lions, snakes, giraffes, wild dogs, bears, zebras, hippopotamuses, insects, etc… I really want to see wolf and panda because I had never seen them before, but I couldn’t. When I saw penguins in the zoo, they always look at everybody who wants to take pictures with them. They didn’t run or hide like another animal. I think they like to be taken picture. (*_*)

I was interested when I saw wallaroos which are like kangaroo. They run too fast with long legs. Besides, I also saw ostrich there, but it isn’t as beautiful as Vietnam’s one, but it is bigger than ostrich in Vietnam. It usually eats cabbage everyday. First, I didn't know what food it eats, but now I knew.

Before I went to the zoo, I didn’t think their natural life is important for animal, but now I see it is very important for them.

Animal really needs their natural life. Visiting to the zoo helped me feel better, love nature, and love animal, and especially when I told my younger brother about visiting Seattle's zoo, he really likes to go there. He is interested and remands me to show all pictures that I took in this afternoon in the zoo. (^^)

I wish my friends in Vietnam would have a chance to see many strange animal that I have seen in Seattle, and I also wish that everybody in the world should love animal and escaped slaughter with animal not excepting destroying them because of personal profit, so animal will be more and more rich, and nature will have more strange and beautiful animal. Do you think so like me?

I LIKE BEACH!!!

In fact, I like really it. In Vietnam, there are many beach, and I visited many places except Ha Long Bay. I have never visited it because it is so far from my house. I want to go there because my friends said that it was so beautiful and interesting, and they also said I could take a lot of picture there.

Oh!!! Great. I like to take many beautiful pictures, too. When I feel sad or disappointed, I usually want to go to the beach to look at beach’s view. I don’t know why I feel comfortable when I look at sea. Maybe it is so quiet, relaxing, and fresh. I don’t know if Seattle’s beach and Vietnam’s beach is different because I haven’t visited any Seattle’s beach yet, so I wish I could go to the beach in Seattle. In Vietnam, there are many sea such as Nha Trang beach, Binh Thuan beach, Vung Tau beach, Mui Ne beach, etc… I have already gone those places many times. When I came here, I had many parties with my friends on the sea-shorn in the evening. We burnt a big fire, and then we gather around fire to eat sea food and sing together. It was so exciting and had fun, and we had a lot of interesting games. Until now, I remember about it clearly. I’m sure I remember about it forever and about my good friends in Vietnam.

MY CHILDHOOD

From a baby to a mature person, I have a good childhood which I won’t forget.
When I was kid, I wished I had become a singer because I liked to become a famous person. I wanted everyone knew me. (hehe…). It was childish. I imitated any modern person. When I was seven years old, I changed my mind and wanted to be accountant like my father. At this time, I was beginning to study basic math, and I felt interested about math. Every day, when my father worked his job at home, I always sat next to him and observed him. He did anything, so I imitated him to do anything like him exactly. (^-^)
When I was eleven, I was also mature. My thinking was more correct because I knew to think about my dream, and I didn’t feel interested about math instead of chemistry. I really like it until now, so I chose doctor which is my dream job in the future, but there was a terrible thing. I am really scared blood. First, I didn’t know I am afraid of it when I contacted it in the hospital, I just realize this thing. I was very sad about it. I can’t become a good doctor while I am scared about blood. No way! (huhuhu……)
That’s why I changed my dream job. When I came here, I decided to study finance. My dream is “ in the future, I will work in the bank to manage finance field”. When I graduate university in US, I will go back Vietnam and find a good job with my right major. I hope I will make my country's financial banking more and more developed in the future. Do you think so?

Myself

Hello!!! Everybody.
I'm not active person, but I'm not passive person. I love my life because I can do everything that I like. I love my simple hobbies such as listening to music, watching tv or movies, cooking some simple Vietnamese foods because I am from Vietnam, reading a lot of comic book, and eating dinner with my boyfriend at the restaurant which is romantic (hehe...).
I like many kinds of music. I like any music which is good. Television programs which I like are Disney's. The characters of Disney that I have seen are "Mulan, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Aladin, Mickey, Donald, and etc".

Kind of movies which I like is Korean movies, and especially the film that I like is "The bright love". I saw it four times, but I still like it which is very meanful. This film's content tells two women's life. It talks about arguing of two women in their life and their job between Sun Mi's honesty and Young Mi's ambition. Besides Korean films, I aslo like ghost films although I am really scared it. It makes me feel excited.

This is my Korean favorite movies which I like the most.

I like simple Vietnamese foods because I'm not clever person. I like simple foods because I can cook it easily, and I don't like complex things. I like funny things, and that's reason I choose comic book that is my favorite book. I think any girl likes to eat dinner at the romantic restaurant. Right??? I'm not romantic girl, so I hope myboyfriend is romantic. I like surprise things or romantic places.
